1) Beautiful P90 tone. IMHO the P90 is the best sounding pickup made. 2) The P90 sound is made even better by the vibration of the acoustic top moving the pickup in relation to the strings. 3) Light weight - it weighs a bit over 6 pounds. 4) Great action.

Summary: 1. The Epiphone Casino’s body is completely hollow, whereas the Epiphone Sherton has a semi hollow body. 2. The Epihone Casinos are lighter in weight when compared to Epiphone Sheraton. 3. The Epiphone Casino comes with a trapezoid tail-piece. The Epiphone Casino Arch Top Guitar features two P-90 pickups and chrome hardware. The scale is 24.75 inches and the nut width is 1.68 inches. It has a set neck joint and neck material made of mahogany. The fingerboard is pau ferro with parallelogram inlays, and the body material is laminated maple. Note that the Casino design was completed before the acquisition of Epiphone by Gibson in 1957. Actually, that is incorrect. The ES-330 was introduced in 1959, and the Casino was introduced in 1961. Also, the headstock shape on this newest USA-Casino was last seen on the Chinese-made "1961 Reissue" model (released in 2011).

Korean Sheratons had maple laminated with (I think) walnut, now that they're made in China they're maple only, scarf jointed at the headstock and have a heel cap. The Sheraton typically has a thinner neck as well.

Epiphone's Dot, Casino, and Sheraton are all very similar guitar models. The Dot is a cheaper alternative to Gibson's ES-335, introduced in 1997.... The original run was stopped in 1970, lasting about 11 years. But in 1986, Epiphone introduced the instrument’s second iteration, the Sheraton II. Eventually, it turned into the Sheraton II Pro. Honestly I find this shocking. As a Casino addict who already owns 4, I'm good, but if you have been wanting a Casino and have been holding off, it's now or never, or at least until they decide to revive the import. Otherwise your only option is the Made in USA Casino which is $3,000. Casino IS the Epiphone guitar imo. Getting rid of that is. The casino has a hollow body, while the Sheraton has a semi-hollow body. The casino is lighter in weight. The Sheraton is heavier in weight. The casino has a 2-p 90s pick, and the Sheraton has a mini-humbuckers. The casino has a fixed bridge, while the Sheraton has Tune-o-Matic one. Unlike a casino, an Epiphone Sheraton tailpiece does not give.
